World Kindness Day Challenge

World Kindness Day is celebrated every year on November 13 and is an occasion to celebrate and empower the greatest trait of humans… KINDNESS!

The purpose of World Kindness Day as outlined by the World Kindness Movement is “to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us.”

You are the fuel that keeps this world kind, caring and compassionate. I know, sometimes it may not feel that way, but when you scratch beneath the surface of the negativity and conflict we see around us, it's clear that human beings are gooooood. And, you're one of them!

The work to create a kinder world never ends. There is no limit on the amount of goodness we can put into the world. So, what will you do to make kindness the norm?

Try our Workplace Kindness Challenge using our worksheet, to encourage a kinder, more compassionate environment and to #MakeKindnessTheNorm at work.

  • Download/Print the worksheet.
  • There are multiple dates in this event to remind you to spread kindness though the months of November and December.
  • After you complete all 50 kindness ideas... send an email to mmiCommunityEngage@unmc.edu telling us your favorite kindness activity from the sheet to get your name entered into a drawing to win a prize.
  • Emails entries will be received through December 30.
  • The winner will be notified by email in January.
