How you can help women during a crisis

Please consider contributing to the Women's Essential Needs Drive.

RISE women, in partnership with the social work department, UNMC Office of Inclusion and Nebraska Medicine Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is hosting a Women's Essential Needs Drive, Monday, March 13 through Friday, April 14.

All items will be donated to the Women's Center for Advancement, to help women during a crisis.

Items needed include:

• Hygiene/toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, body soap, tampons/pads, deodorant, lotion, hair/skin care)
• Under garments (underwear, bras and socks.) Must be new
• Women's shoes (small sizes)

How to donate:

• Drop off items at a donation location listed below
• Start a collection in your own department/unit/clinic (team will pick your items up at the end of the drive)
• Direct donations via this Amazon Wishlist

Donation locations:

• Lot 50 skywalk entrance
• Emergency Department (main breakroom)
• Clarkson Tower (front access)
• Social work office (University Tower, second floor)
• Bellevue Medical Center office building (ground level room 0040)
• Sorrell (second floor commons area)
• Lauritzen Outpatient Center (third floor conference room)
• Kiewit ground floor
