DESCRIPTION:The Summer Undergraduate Research Program will hold its annual 
 poster symposium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 8 at UNMC's Truhlsen Eve
 nts Center. The med center community is invited to meet the SURP students 
 and view their poster presentations. \n\n \n\nThis event is the culminatio
 n of a 10-week\, full-time research program for over 114 high school and u
 ndergraduate students coming from all over the United States to participat
 e in the program.  SURP is a collaboration between UNMC departments\, inst
 itutes\, colleges and gradaute speciality areas and is designed to allow h
 igh school and undergraduate students to become members of research teams 
 and discover firsthand the broad spectrum of research activities occuring 
 at UNMC.
