All applicants must submit a Data Management and Sharing Plan as part of the new NIH Forms H application, which goes into effect on January 25, 2023. One significant component of data management and sharing is choosing where to submit data for access beyond initial experiments. In this webinar, we’ll discuss how to select a data repository. We’ll address discipline-specific repositories and the metadata schemas they use to foster FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) sharing. We’ll also examine generalist repositories that may be useful for smaller datasets. By the session's end, you should clearly understand FAIR-sharing, discipline-specific repositories, and generalist repositories.
