Kent Sievers – the photographer who captures life at UNMC from behind the lens of his Canon camera – will retire from UNMC Strategic Communications this month.

A retirement reception will be held Wednesday, July 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Linder Reading Room inside the Sorrell Center. The campus community is invited to attend. Remarks are scheduled for 3 p.m.

Sievers joined UNMC in 2019, after an 18-year long career with the Omaha World-Herald. At UNMC, he has captured the day-to-day magic across UNMC’s five campuses. From groundbreakings and grand openings to headshots and commencement, Sievers is a familiar face at UNMC events and often is found strolling campus looking for his next great photo.
