Dr. RemyGrace Sass is Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at UNMC, where she also completed her residency and medical degree. Dr. Sass has been honored with the ACP Herbert S. Waxman Chief Resident Teaching Scholarship, the UNMC Internal Medicine Senior Resident Award, and the Nebraska ACP Resident of the Year award. 

Dr. Brett Begley is the VA Chief Resident. He completed medical school and residency at UNMC, where he participated in the Primary Care Program. Next year, he will practice as a traditional general internist in Omaha.

Dr. Nick Yeutter is the Ambulatory Chief Resident of the UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Yeutter has a passion for medical education and completed the Health Educator and Academic Leadership (HEAL) track during residency.  After chief year, he will practice general internal medicine and continue resident education at the Omaha VA.

Dr. Debra Wekesa is the Scholarship and Patient Safety Chief Resident. She completed the BA/MD program at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine and the Health Educator Leadership (HEAL) track in residency here at UNMC. Next year, she will start a fellowship in Nephrology here  with the Division of Nephrology.
