Susan Butler-Wu, PhD, D(ABMM), FIDSA, is director of clinical microbiology at the Los Angeles General Medical Center and associate professor of clinical pathology at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine.

Her virtual presentation: "Diagnostics for pharyngitis: A complex landscape for a common infection," will compare and contrast current practice guidelines and recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of pharyngitis, point out the limitations of standard diagnostic methods, and discuss the pros and cons of molecular-based approaches.
