Join Dr. Alla Shapiro, a world-renowned expert in preventing, predicting and assessing the biological and medical effects of ionizing radiation and in designing measures for preparedness against radiological disasters on May 12 at 9:30am as she presents, "Pathways for Development of Medical Countermeasures Against Radiation."

She participated in the Chernobyl Children’s International Project, serving as a pediatric hematologist at a camp in Dublin, Ireland. She was interviewed as a subject matter expert for the video “Doctor Fact Checks the HBO Chernobyl Series.” She will share her expertise and experience in strategies that can be employed to develop medical countermeasures against radiation.
