Ticks and Tick-Borne Diseases in Nebraska

In this presentation staff from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Vector-Borne Disease Program will discuss ticks and tick-borne diseases of concern in Nebraska. They will look at tick biology and where ticks are found, detail the ticks of medical importance in the state and the diseases associated with them, and finally explore best practices in preventing tick bites and reducing disease risk.
