Using Nanomedicines to Treat the Placenta

Presenter: Lynda K Harris, PhD, Department of Ob/Gyn, UNMC

Objectives:

1. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using nanoparticles to deliver medicines

2. Explain which types of drugs could be repurposed to treat pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction and stillbirth

3. Analyze the potential risks of using nanomedicines during pregnancy
