NIH has a new policy on data management and sharing that will be effective January 25, 2023. This will require all NIH-funded researchers to prospectively submit a plan outlining how scientific data from their research will be managed and shared, either in an NIH established repository or another third party public-access repository depending on the nature of the data. NIH has established an NIH sharing website https://sharing.nih.gov which outlines many resources and details of the plan.
