Join the Nebraska Medical Orchestra & Choir for their winter concert on Dec. 14 at 7:30pm. The volunteer musicians come from a number of institutions across metro Omaha, including the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Nebraska Medicine, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, UNO, Creighton University, Methodist, among others. All of the musicians are affiliated with the health sciences either as students, staff, or faculty and represent the administrative, research, and clinical aspects of the field. The Nebraska Medical Choir, under the direction of Dr. Katrina Cox, will be singing choral works including a set of familiar holiday carols. The Nebraska Medical Orchestra, founded in 2018 under the direction of Dr. Matthew Brooks, will then perform a selection of both classical and pops pieces for orchestra. They will conclude their program by featuring Omaha singer Alexis Arai, who has been seen on American Idol, The Voice, and Tengo Talento.
Admission is free, but a donation to our non-profit concert partner will be accepted at the door to directly support the organization selected by our musicians.
Free, adjacent parking is available at the UNO Strauss Performing Arts Center.
