About the Summit: 
Rural health and wellness are critical to the sustainability, well-being and economic stability of Nebraska. With over 670,000 Nebraskans living in non-metro areas—often facing higher poverty and poorer health outcomes—the Rural Engagement and Wellness Summit offers a space to explore these unique challenges. Together, we’ll focus on solutions through community collaboration, education, advocacy, data sharing, and research. This summit brings together community members, health professionals, and university partners to spark conversation and build lasting partnerships. To support open dialogue and shared learning, the event will follow an unconference format—so bring your ideas and get ready to participate!
 

What is Unconference?
An unconference flips the traditional conference model. Instead of a set agenda and selected speakers, attendees shape the schedule by proposing topics, leading discussions, and sharing insights in real time.
Inspired by the idea that the best conversations often happen informally, unconferences prioritize collaboration, flexibility, and meaningful engagement.
