This presentation will focus on:
1) Explain the generation and characterization of
Pink1/Parkin double knockout (DKO) rats, a novel
model of hereditary Parkinson's disease (PD)
2) Discuss the phenotype of this rat model in the
context of PD-relevant pathology
3) Identify mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis
of disease in the Pink1/Parkin DKO rats
