IMPACT PD - Getting Started with Canvas: Essential Steps for Faculty and Staff

Session Description:

Learn essential ways to get yourself familiarized with the Canvas Learning Management System (UNMC’s LMS). Faculty and Staff will gain the skills needed to simplify the digital-learning process.

Session Details:

  • This professional development session will be an hour in length: the first 30 minutes will consist of direct instruction from Academic Technologies; the final 30 minutes will allow time for faculty to work directly with Academic Technologies 
  • This session will be recorded via Zoom and linked to the IMPACT Canvas course.
  • This session will have accompanying materials within the IMPACT Canvas course.

 

This session is part of the IMPACT Instruction Learning Track: This professional development learning track focuses on using technology to increase your skills as an instructor and learner. Courses will include the basics of using Academic Technologies-supported products, as well as shortcuts for learning.

The IMPACT Professional Development Program offers the UNMC community opportunities to expand upon technical skills in support of our institutional learning. While education is currently experiencing unprecedented challenges, Academic Technologies offers both the experience necessary and the skills required, to navigate these unpredictable and complicated times.
