To celebrate Genetic Counselor Awareness Day, the students of the UNMC Genetic Counseling Education Program will demonstrate taking a family tree, or what we call “pedigree,” in the Sorrell Commons Area on Thursday, November 10th from 10am-12pm. Learn about this important tool genetic counselors use, and how to draw a basic pedigree yourself!
***Note: This event is for fun and educational purposes only. No health history will be recorded. If anyone would like to speak to a licensed genetic counselor, we will have contact information available.
