She will present Decoding metabolic dependencies of primary versus metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Summary: Dr. Perera will discuss her team’s efforts to understand the metabolic adaptations necessary for metastatic seeding and colonization of PDAC cells in the liver and lungs, referencing their recent work on cholesterol (published in Nature 2025) as well as unpublished work focusing on lysosomal proteomics from primary and liver metastases that identified new selective dependences for growth in the liver.
