Emerging Professionals: Developing U

Join the Emerging Professionals Program for a brief breakfast and networking opportunity from 8:30 – 9:00 AM before engaging in a conversation surrounding "Developing U" featuring Diane Kortus as the content presenter.

This program aims to show you what a holistic, integrative and measurable development plan looks like so that you may close skill gaps utilizing a targeted Individual Development Plan. By the end of this program we will answer the following questions:

1. What is Development and who owns it?

2. Creating an Individual Development Plan – Integrative, Measurable & Holistic

3. Who are your IDP allies?

4. Focus – development activity every day

Diane is the Training and Development Specialist for UNMC in the Human Resources Employee Relations, Organizational Development and Diversity department.  Diane has been with UNMC for two and a half years and came from serving as the Culture and Inclusion Manager with ConAgra Foods in Omaha, NE.  Diane redesigned the employee training and development program to create Re-Imagining U in 2016 & 2017.  The program is approaching its second semester after over 750 participants used the system in the inaugural Fall 2017 semester.
