Identify evidence-based therapies and best practices when treating eating disorders.
Discuss unique challenges and ethical considerations when working with clients with eating disorders, especially in a rural setting.

Kristen Rose is a licensed professional counselor and licensed independent mental health practitioner at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska. Before landing in the panhandle, she had an eclectic experience in equine-assisted therapy, intensive outpatient and partial hospital programs, and outpatient therapy around Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She has training and experience in multiple modalities and treats a variety of diagnoses, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Her previous speaking experiences include the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, the Nebraska Counseling Association, Nebraska Healthcare Marketers, the National Association of Social Workers Nebraska Chapter, and Panhandle CASA.

In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 1.0 ANCC contact hour. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, University of Nebraska Medical Center is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
