Communication Kick Start - for AAC systems (augmentative and alternative communication)

Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
January 27, February 3 and February 10, 2020

FREE Communication Kick-Start program is offered through the RiteCare Clinic at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. FREE childcare provided. Space is limited to 10 families and/or classroom teachers, so register today.

If your child or student has a new augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system and you would like to:

  • Understand how to use the system and where to find messages
  • Learn how to teach your child/student to use the new system
  • Develop communication opportunities for your child/student within daily activities
  • Meet others who use AAC to communicate
  • Practice using communication strategies and the AAC system in sessions and at home or school

This weekly program will include:

  • Parent and teacher training
  • Handouts
  • Skill-building practice activities with your child/student
  • Simple homework assignments
