UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to hear from one of five finalists for the College of Dentistry dean position.
Sorin Teich, DMD, professor and associate dean of clinical affairs at the Medical University of South Carolina, James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, will participate in an open campus presentation Tuesday, March 7.
The forum will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. CT in the Dixon Auditorium at the UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln and via Zoom. Attendees can access the Zoom link via this intranet page and ask questions during the forum.
Dr. Teich spent years in private practice and hospital practice and has consulted with insurance companies. He founded two medical devices start-ups and subsequently managed two biotechnological/pharmaceutical companies. He also worked more than a decade at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals focusing on evidence-based dentistry, dental materials and digital dentistry. He is the scientific associate editor of Quintessence International Journal and the Dental Traumatology Journal and served on the board of the Journal of Dental Education.
