UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to hear from one of five finalists for the College of Dentistry dean position.
Galen Schneider, DDS, PhD, executive associate dean, associate dean of faculty and professor, University of Iowa College of Dentistry, will participate in an open campus presentation Tuesday, March 21.
The forum will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. CT in the Dixon Auditorium at the UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln and via Zoom. Attendees can access the Zoom link via this intranet page and ask questions during the forum.
At Iowa, Dr. Schneider also has served as the department of prosthodontics chair (2006-2011), interim associate dean for research (2019-2020) and interim dean (2021-2022). A board-certified prosthodontist, his translational and collaborative research efforts have focused on cell signaling pathways associated with osseous tissue engineering; dental implant osseointegration, and cancer cell biology. He is an assistant editor for the Journal of Prosthodontics and currently serves as the Research Committee Chair for the American College of Prosthodontists.
