Leo Yu-Ting Chou, Ph.D.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Wyss Institute
Harvard Medical School
Dr. Chou has a strong background in bioengineering and biomedical research. He specifically focuses on nanomaterials design and characterization, nanomedicine development and validation, molecular imaging and diagnostics. He successfully received patents in the synthesis of fluorescent Noble metal nanoparticles, a method for the synthesis and modification of 20-200nm polymeric nanostructures containing nanoparticles, and the synthesis of metal coated microbeads containing polymers and quantum dots, while still undergoing his Ph.D. candidature at the University of Toronto. He has a healthy publication and teaching record and is a reviewer for ACS Nano, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Scientific Reports, and the Wellcome Trust.
Areas of Expertise: 1) DNA nanotechnology, 2) nanomedicine, 3) targeted drug delivery, 4) synthetic biology
