The gallbladder is a small organ in the digestive system that stores bile, while assists in breaking down fat in our food. Sometimes it can become diseased and issues can develop: gallstones (hardened stones that form in the gallbladder), acute cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder), gallstone pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas caused by gallstones) and cholangitis (inflammation of the bile duct). In some cases, polyps and cancer can occur in the gallbladder. Dr. Malik will also discuss criteria for diagnosing and managing functional gallbladder disease in adults.

This lecture is free, however if you would like to obtain nursing credit, the cost is $10.  Payment instructions will be given when you pre-register. Nursing credit can only be obtained for watching the live stream of the virtual presentation, not for viewing the recording after the event.
