THEME: Black communities and Healthcare in the US: Present and Future
Join us for the second part of the History of Health Panel where we will discuss present day attitudes and beliefs about the healthcare system and measures to take for the system to work for black communities, focusing on education, access and representation.
Panelists include: Amissabah Kanley, MD, pediatric specialist, Joelle Simpson, MD, medical director for emergency preparedness at Children’s National, and Sheritta A. Strong, MD, director of inclusion and assistant professor in the department of psychiatry.
The first 10 students to RSVP on ENGAGE and attend the event will receive a copy of the book 'The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks'.
