About this Event
Observance of Ash Wednesday will be different this year due to COVID-19 and necessary safety precautions.
During the day, chaplains will administer ashes at the locations and times listed below. There will not be a Roman Catholic Mass held on campus. Catholics are invited to receive ashes at the stations listed below. Services are only available at Nebraska Medical Center.

Imposition of ashes and ecumenical Holy Communion on Ash Wednesday:
- 8:30 a.m., Ecumenical Blessing of Ashes and consecration of Holy Communion (no in-person attendance allowed). Broadcast on channels 75/31
Distribution of ashes and Holy Communion will be offered at the following locations:
- 9:15 to 11 a.m., Buffett Conference Room 0.12.103
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lied Transplant Center, concierge desk on level one
- 2:15 to 4 p.m., Storz Pavilion
- From midnight to 7 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, and 8 to 11:59 p.m., March 2, evening staff may call the night chaplain on Voalte phone 531.557.4559 to check availability for ash distribution
