'Service in Action' theme for annual MLK event
Monday, January 20, 2025 11:30am to 1pm
About this Event
619 South 42nd Street Omaha, NE 68198
The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day program at the med center, hosted by UNMC Campus Engagement and the Nebraska Medicine Outreach and Belonging Office, will focus on the theme "Service in Action: Strengthening Communities by Honoring the Legacy of Unity, Hope and Equality." This reflects the med center’s commitment to excellent patient care, access and community service across the state.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous quote, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” inspires reflection on our roles in creating positive change and serves as a reminder of the essential role of service in progress.
