They Did What? An Update on NICU Practices for Obstetrical and MFM Providers                     

Presenter:  Eric Peeples, MD, Assistant Professor, Pediatrics Newborn Medicine

Objectives:                              

1.         To review recent changes and controversies regarding neonatal resuscitation, including delayed cord clamping and sustained inflation

2.         To discuss current early management of extremely premature infants, with a focus on small baby protocols, donor breast milk, and hydrocortisone for the prevention of chronic lung disease

3.         To examine local guidelines for the diagnosis and management of neonatal encephalopathy in light of recent literature
