NHANES Data: Treasure Trove for Biomedical Research

Presented by Robert Hoyt, MD, FACP, Adjunct Associate Professor UNMC College of Allied Health Professions.  Clinical research mandates that data is easy to obtain, is realistic and easy to mine. Dr. Hoyt discusses the multiple advantages of using National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data. He will focus on a recent compilation of 4 data periods that resulted in 41,000 patients and 1100 attributes. He will discuss the three ways that this data can be accessed: Data Dryad, Harvard Data Explorer and Data World. The emphasis will be on real-world data analytics on real data.  This event is sponsored by the College of Allied Health Professions.
