Join us for our New Career Path Seminar with Tess Kuenstling, NSRI Project Manager.
Tess will discuss a new program for postdocs to train them to become new program managers for DTRA (Defense Threat Reduction Agency), which manages, conducts, and funds DoD research.
This program is administered via NSRI (National Strategic Research Institute), the University of Nebraska’s UARC (university affiliated research center).
Tess Kuenstling is a Program Manager at the National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI). She has managed an active research portfolio valued at over $70M and has been responsible for contract and project management. In her work at NSRI, she has been responsible for technical editing of proposals and reports in various disciplines; worked to identify, analyze and control project risks for resolution or escalation of technical, resource, communication, cost and reporting issues; and monitored research compliance and management for classified projects. She has facilitated multi-PI, multi-institutional, and interdisciplinary contracts and currently manages the Defense Threat Reduction Agency Postdoctoral Program.
