The Nebraska Medical Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Matthew Brooks, will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 P.M. in the Durham Outpatient Center Atrium at UNMC.
The concert will celebrate the season with many winter holiday favorites, including Suite from Polar Express, “March of the Toys” from Babes in Toyland, and familiar carols in Christmas Festival and The Festive Sounds of Hanukkah. The orchestra will welcome Olga Smola, UNO violin faculty, as featured soloist on two short works by Tchaikovsky for solo violin and orchestra. UNO graduate student, Michael Tyree, will be conducting a number of works on the concert.
The performance is free and open to the public with easily accessible parking in the Green Visitors Parking Garage.
