Transforming Health Professions Education through Simulated and Virtual ‘Realities’

UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., and Pamela J. Boyers, Ph.D., will kick off the KANEKO Visionary Series on June 20, with a look at how UNMC is transforming the model for health professions education, training and research through the creation of iEXCEL.

The panel discussion, titled “Transforming Health Professions Education through Simulated and Virtual ‘Realities,’ ” will run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at KANEKO, 1111 Jones St., in Omaha. The event is free and open to the public.

The unique lecture series is part of KANEKO’s Reality season, which features UNMC’s iEXCEL program. The series will examine the interdisciplinary approach to blending science, technology and art and how it transforms human performance and effectiveness in health care.
