Immunomodulatory Effect of Vitamin D

Off-campus event.  Devendra K Agrawal, MSc, PhD, PhD, MBA, MS, FAAAAI, FAHA will present this session of the Osteoporosis Research Center.  The objectives of this session are:

1.  Discuss basic aspects of innate and adaptive immunity
2.  Discuss the functional effect of vitamin D on various immune cells and their function
3.  Share the research findings on the effect of vitamin D deficiency and supplementation on intimal hyperplasia and in-stent restenosis in swine model of atherosclerosis.
