Frontiers in Heart Failure Therapy: A Midwestern Symposium

While heart failure can portend a poor prognosis, numerous new therapies and devices are available for the management of those experiencing heart failure. Healthcare providers are challenged to determine best medical practices for pulmonary hypertension, amyloidosis, arrhythmias and transplantation. In addition, there are novel approaches for structural heart disease, the acute treatment of shock as well as the long-term support of patients with left ventricular assist devices.
